Ingredients
- 4 Pitas (white or whole wheat, flatbread style)
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sumac powder
Instructions
- P๏ปฟreheat your air fryer to 320 or 325 degrees (this will depend on the temperature increments of your air fryer)
- W๏ปฟhile the air fryer preheats, cut each pita into 8 triangles.
- P๏ปฟlace the pita chips in a large mixing bowl and add the 1/4 cup of Olive Oil. Use the rubber scraper to toss the pita and oil together.
- A๏ปฟdd the 1 1/2 tsp of Salt and 1 tsp of Sumac powder and stir to combine, making sure the pita triangles are as evenly coated with seasoning as you can.
- O๏ปฟnce the air fryer has preheated, add the seasoned pita to the air fryer basket and cook at 320 or 325 degrees for 6 minutes.
- A๏ปฟfter 6 minutes, remove the air fryer basket and give it a good shake, stirring the pita a bit with the rubber scraper if needed.
- A๏ปฟir fry for 6 more minutes. At this point, the pita chips should be done. You will know they are done when they are a nice golden brown and they feel stiff rather than soft. Serve with your favorite dip! If you are using an oven rather than an air fryer, please see the recipe notes for instructions.
